![]() ![]() This is my first time here but I had to shout it from someone's rooftop - I'm finally getting my first wheelchair tomorrow!!! Submitted by Mars_Knight88 to DnD Ģ023.03.19 21:54 Immediate-Rub4230 Getting my first wheelchair tomorrow! :) IN ORDER FOR PLAYERS TO NOT SPAM THIS, you can use them 3 times parry and 3 times dodge in a whole combat (this applies to enemies too) and regain them again with a short rest This is simple and the same mechanic, a player haves to decide if he wants to dodge an upcoming attack before happening so the same, the enemy haves to roll a dice for damage directly and then the player haves to pass or get the same number with the same dice, for example, an enemy attacks with 1d8, and get a 6 again, the player haves to get a 6+ (yes you can bonus with acrobatics), in order to dodge, if he dodges the attack then it will move 5 ft to any side he wants around the enemy and avoids the attack ![]() Hello! DM here, so a few days ago i was thinking about a mechanic i wanted to introduce to my game a dodge/parry mechanic and i already made it up in my campaing but really wanted to know if it's balanced and fun for players to use:Ī player has to decide if he/she wants to parry an attack (or magic) before the upcoming attack, so first the enemy haves to roll the dice of damage directly (with bonus and everything) and then the player haves to roll the same dice and if for example, the enemy gets an 6 from 1d8, the player haves to roll for this range of numbers in order to parry the attack in this example the player haves to roll either a 5, a perfectly 6 or a 7 to parry this attack if the player gets the parry then it will gain an extra attack (the attack haves to go directly to the enemy that tried to attack him) ![]()
